The Royal Life Saving Society Qld Volunteer Community Educator
The Royal Life Saving Society Queensland (RLSSQ) is recruiting volunteers who care about educating the community about water safety.
Do you have some experience with Water Safety Community Education programs?
Can you assist with delivering water safety education to children and adults across a wide range of community-focused programs?
Volunteers will teach survival skills in the water AND/OR assist with teaching water safety education theory in a classroom.
Successful volunteers will need:
- to have water safety knowledge and education
- be comfortable working with small and large groups of adults and children
- be confident in the demonstration of and instruction in water safety and first aid skills
Volunteers should also be well-presented, have good organisational skills and be able to adapt to change.
Qualifications:
- preferably Swim Teacher, Bronze Medallion or Pool Lifeguard qualifications
- CPR and First Aid
- Blue Card (RLSSQ can assist with this)
- Over 18
Volunteer hours are flexible, and training will be provided to volunteers. RLSSQ are located in Gumdale.
